Shabbos Update

In the end we didn't drop them in a field, but after the Yom HaShoah ceremony, we took a walk outside the school grounds by the Jordan River and had a bit of lunch. There were no objections, until they understood that this was the last group activity :(

The program was a very big success. There were lots of promises of staying in touch and coming back again soon, and before we knew it, it was back on the bus to Tzfat.

One thing about this next part of the trip is that, sadly, we've had to replace the injured Hadar. She'll be back with us in Tel Aviv, but until then we have a new guy named Itay, whom we met in Tzfat, who is lovely.

Itay led us on a journey through Tzfat, to Isaac Luria's mystical synagogue, to the candle shop, to the other shops, and many shops were richer after we left. After a shwarma, it was back on the bus, up and around Har Meron which looks back on Tzfat. We headed off the mountain and are now put up in Kibbutz Farod for Shabbat.

This morning we had a very big surprise visit from the Arazy family, who came on a tour of the kibbutz, and I'm writing during our Shabbat free time.

In one week's time we'll be getting ready to come home. It will be a big week. There will be hiking and swimming, beaches, and ceremonies. We'll see the March of the Living participants on Wednesday, and celebrate Yom Ha'Atzmaut on Thursday. I'm really excited for all of it, and to prepare our greetings for the community!

Enjoy the pictures and Shabbat shalom.
